On March 21, 2022, The White House warned US businesses to “harden cyber defenses immediately”. This was prompted by what President Biden called “evolving intelligence that the Russian government is exploring options for potential cyber attacks”.

This warning comes off the coattails of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s (CISA) Shields Up campaign. CISA and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recently issued warnings that “every organization in the US is at risk from cyber threats.”
