Monte Brookshier is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for CRI. Monte first joined CRI in 1996 as an Infrastructure Engineer specializing in cyber security. In 2006, Monte led a software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company providing a business planning platform for school districts to increase teacher and student performance. The company grew rapidly and was purchased in 2008 by California’s largest educational consulting firm where Monte served as President of Technology. Returning to CRI in 2010, he led the growth in Federal and State and Local arenas. Monte and his family recently moved to the Northern Virginia area to continue growing the CRI customer base. Monte enjoys playing golf and family oriented outdoor activities.
Ken Malach is the President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) for CRI. Ken has been with CRI since 1999. He is a Project Management Professional (PMP) with over thirty years of experience successfully managing complex technical political organizational and cross-functional IT and business computing environments and their related initiatives. Ken is skilled in resource management utilizing multiple technical and non-technical teams across a complex matrix organization. He is an experienced change agent – delivering innovative solutions using technology to meet core business needs. Ken has a successful history of identifying and delivering appropriate levels of personnel resources while successfully dealing with time and budget constraints. Ken enjoys the Boise foothills and the many golf courses in Idaho during his time away from the office.
Darren Van Booven is the Chief Technology Officer for CRI. Darren has over 20 years of experience in multiple industries building world class cybersecurity and information management programs. Prior to recently joining CRI, Darren was the Deputy CIO at the Idaho National Laboratory (2017-18), and also served as the INL Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) from 2014 to 2017. Before INL Mr. Van Booven was the CISO for the U.S. House of Representatives, where he was responsible for implementation of the House’s information security program. Prior to the House, Darren spent several years in the CIA as a counterintelligence officer responsible for carrying out nation state intrusion investigations, incident response activities, and countering technical threats against operations. He also worked as a senior staff operations officer responsible for the mission of offensive cyber operations and forensic exploitation against the terrorist target. Darren currently resides in Idaho Falls, ID with his family.
Jeffery Nebeker is the Vice President of Services for CRI and has more than 28 years of leadership, management, and operations experience in developing and managing large scale programs for the Department of Energy and private industry. His experience includes information management and technology, nuclear waste management, and environment, health, and safety. He has held leadership and operations responsibilities in organizations that design-build scientific, engineering, and enterprise systems that have been recognized by DOE as innovative solutions that fundamentally improve how work is accomplished - while experiencing a high degree of embedded compliance and quality. Jeff resides in Idaho Falls, ID with his family.
Christopher Eastman is the Vice President of Solutions for CRI. Christopher has been with CRI since 2014, when he joined to manage a large program at the Department of Energy. He now leads the Solutions Division, which is focused on ServiceNow business solutions and Cyber Security assessments and remediation. Christopher is an experienced program and project manager with solid technical background in systems development and data management, and a former public company CIO. His credentials include: PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) for ten years, Master's degree in Information Technology Management, Federal CIO University (GSA) Certificate in Federal Executive Competencies, ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), and ITIL V3 Foundation. He is a lifetime native of he Washington, DC area, where he resides with his family.
Gary Brookshier served as CEO and President for CRI since originally purchasing the company with his wife Judy in 1995. Gary has over three decades of experience in senior management and executive leadership roles across a diverse spectrum of engagements within the energy and technology related sectors. His leadership in the energy sector has included managing operations for a utility power engineering company and a custom programmable controls manufacturing company serving electric utilities nationally, energy conservation planning engagements for the BPA and utility associations and management of an REA electric utility. Gary’s technology related efforts have included the development and marketing of several software products for the medical and airline sectors, development of a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business intelligence product for K-12 education and most notably the growth of CRI Advantage into one of the largest technology services companies in the Northwest.
David McAnaney is a Board Member for CRI. David is the owner and managing partner of McAnaney & Associates PLLC, a boutique law firm in downtown Boise, Idaho, Specializing in estate and business planning. He is a licensed attorney in the states of Idaho and California, as well as a licensed CPA in the state of Idaho. His law practice encompasses advice and counsel on all aspects of business planning, business transactions, succession planning, estate, family, and wealth planning, including advanced estate planning techniques, estate and probate administration, charitable planning, real estate, tax planning, and tax controversy matters. David attended the College of Idaho and law school at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, receiving both his Juris Doctor (J.D.) and Master of Laws of Taxation (LL.M. – Taxation) degrees. In his free time, he enjoys time with his wife, Anne, boating in McCall, and walking his two great danes.
Toby Tobaccowala has been a Board Member for CRI since 2005. Toby has over 35 years of operating experience in the business and ommunications services sectors. Until May 2005, he was the Chariman of R4 Global Solutions, which was acquired by Verisign. Previously, he was Executive Vice President at AppNet where he completed 12 acquisitions in nine months, enabling the company to offer a full range of services and complete a public offering. Commerce One acquired AppNet in 2000. Prior to joining AppNet, Toby was Strategic Business Unit President of the Media Industry Group at Electronic Data Systems (EDS). He spent 23 years at EDS, starting out in engineering and working extensively in the retail, financial, and telecommunication industries. He holds an MBA from Bajaj Institute of Management in India and a B.S., E.E. from Maharaja Shivajirao University, India. Toby also serves on the boards of Optimal Solutions Integration Inc. and Oceus Networks Inc.
